Tess is a seasoned, high energy entrepreneur who has owned and operated The Bailey Capital Fund, a full service equipment leasing and brokerage firm since 1997 and began her first investment fund division in 1999. 

Tess currently manages the Lawson Philanthropic Trust, which has been aligning expertise in the debt financing and equipment leasing industries for the development of sustainable, green investment funds since 2005.

in September 2010, Tess brought together her fellow Vancouver Rotary Club colleagues to form the Viridian Asset Fund Inc., targeting to become another 100% sustainable-content fund for the Canadian market. 

The Viridian Asset Fund Inc. will be a RRSP, RESP, RRIF and TFSA eligible which intends to provides a quarterly income-producing investment product through the financing of clean energy technology equipment in Canada.

In 2006, Tess' dedication to investment and asset security won her a National Research Council (NRC) Grant to develop an expert knowledge system for Canadian Trust & Tax law distribution via the Internet. She was also recognized by the Odlum Brown and Price Waterhouse Cooper's sponsored 2010 “e-Series” Class of Women Entrepreneurs.for her work in high growth, leveraged business as one of 12 women entrepreneurs.

Tess has been a board member for the Membership Review Committee for The Better Business Bureau of the Lower Mainland of Vancouver since 2007 and currently also serves The Woman's University Club.

Tess was recently elected on the Board of Directors for The Vancouver Rotary Club 2011-2013 fiscal years and is the past Chair of The Vancouver Rotary Investment Club Education Committee.

Tess' volunteer work includes: The Vancouver Board of Trade Task Force Boards (2005-2010) including:

Education & Skills Committee, Crime & Public Safety, Downtown Eastside, Community Affairs Committee, and the 2010 Olympic Subcommittee, where she shares her passion and energy and does her part to improve the quality of life in our community.
